OK so I already had dangerously bald tires that desperately needed to be replaced PLUS I needed an alignment since driving in a straight line was quite the challenge (and caused a cramp in your hand) but then yesterday the brakes started making a really loud clunking noise. Since the car kind of needs working brakes, we had to take it in. Now the car has 4 new tires, new brakes and rotors and drives in a straight line! Yea!! I picked out “touring” tires – all I know is they have a MUCH smoother ride. Hopefully the Aztek will be happy for a while and not be so cranky. I was told shocks are next… great… more $$$! Oh well, I guess we are ready for winters with new tires!

We saw this movie a few weeks ago and since we just started the “movie reviews” I wanted to mention it. Dan in Real Life staring Steve Carell (Dan) and Juliette Binoche (Marie) is about a man who lost his wife and has raised his three daughters on his own. Dan and his daughters go to a family reunion of sorts when an unexpected love interest throws the whole trip for a curve. Not only is this a hilarious movie, but the sound track is great and turned me into a Sondre Lerche and the Faces Down fan.
