So the staples came out… they were really bugging her. There is one spot that hasn’t healed right so she has to wear this cone while we put steroid cream on it for a few days. She is sad about wearing the cone but very happy those awful staples are out!

Sammy had to get her bandages off early because they started to slip off, but the staples stay in for another week. I had to find her an outfit with pants and this bling thing is all I could find so she gets to be a little diva for a while. She’s pretty uncomfortable and won’t straighten her leg, so she’s just chilling. We hope she feels better tomorrow!
OK well it’s a couple days late… but here’s a video of Sammy walking. Keep in mind that
1. This is the first time I have used this video camera
2. This is the first time I have used iMovie
I also took them for a walk today (trying to wear Sammy out - she is so bored!) so Sam went in her stroller while Loki walked. Loki enjoyed it because we got to go so much farther than normal. Sammy seemed to enjoy it too! I guess we were successful since they are both sound asleep now!
I think Loki would do this!!

Sammy is doing much better this weekend after spending a couple hours last night in the doggy ER for a UTI. She got meds and she’s doing better. Everything else is going really well! She is up and walking on her casts, which is good because she is supposed to be walking on them but bad because she can move around now and I actually had to tell her to stop running! She keeps trying to jump on and off the couch which she is NOT allowed to do for 6 weeks. She is tired and still in some pain, but she’s almost back to her happy self as long as her pain meds are working. Anyway, we need to take video of her walking because it’s the cutest thing ever! We will try to post that tomorrow! Taking care of her is exhausting because someone has to watch her constantly right now.
