Apparently my complaining at the Jewel EVERY time I go there has finally gotten me somewhere. I never understood the logic in using 14 plastic bags, each containing one item, rather than using ONE paper bag. ONE bag sure is a lot easier to carry and doesn’t pinch my fingers or spill out all over the car, plus it must be more economical. Generally the people at Jewel can’t figure out how to pack a paper bag properly so I have to do it myself while they stare at me like I’m an alien, but whatever. Anyway, tonight when I went through the line they looked at me, REMEMBERED me, and said “Oh yeah Paper?” I was thrilled! So I’m giving a big gold star for Patty and the other cashier/baggers there tonight. Maybe next time they will carry more than 4 items without MSG and/or partially hydrogenated everything. So, good job Jewel.

Sammy, Loki and I finally got to go for a walk yesterday. Of course we got stopped by all the kids at the park, but at least we all got to spend time outside. They need to learn how to walk together! I couldn’t get a picture of Loki because he was busy sniffing everything - although he did stop for a minute to wave at the kids. I’m not kidding. He knows how to wave and so when the kids wave at him he waves back. Anyway, here is Sammy sitting in the grass looking pretty.
