In a freakish run in with Mother Nature today, Erin and I had a head on collision with a tumbleweed when driving through Settlers Ridge. While turning into the main entrance, out of nowhere a massive tumbleweed smacked the side of the car and made Erin jump out of her seat! Typically in these parts there doesn’t seem to be any traffic sign placement until after an accident occurs so as a responsible citizen, I’m writing this post to warn everyone of the dangers of tumbleweed here in Kane County. “BEWARE OF TUMBLEWEEDS!” Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I live in Settler’s Ridge and have many roll up onto my property. I think they were brought in specifically for the 2006 Parade of Homes. It was windy that weekend (approx. Oct. 10-15th) and blew all over the subdivision.
