Hello blogosphere! So I was asked today (and a few times over the past few months) why we haven’t been blogging as much on our web site. It’s a simple question with a complicated answer. First let me say to the techies, I love WordPress and I think it’s a great tool, however it lacks a lot of the interaction you get from using a social network (unless you use BuddyPress and have user accounts). Erin and I (as well as most of you who read this blog) have found our way on to Facebook. We really like the collaborative and social aspect of the online tool and the easy of use when it comes to sharing, commenting and recommending. I have Google Analytics Data that shows us people hit our blog, but people tend not to comment or participate which is really part of the fun! On Facebook people tend to be more interactive so it has become our default way of sharing. Anyways, if you want all the good content, sign up for Facebook (it’s free!) and send me a friend request.
Yes I realize something most people only vote every 4 years for the president, but seriously you should still vote in your local election today. Local elections will impact you as much as the presidential election.
We were less involved this time around, but we are still planning to have a drink and order an amazing chocolate dessert tonight while we cheer on Ben and celebrate another election day!
So I *Finally* got in to see my doctor. I have, like I thought, a massive cyst. She said the scar tissue is probably irrelevant, since the cyst is big enough to cause pain all on it’s own. Oh goodie. There’s nothing they can do because even if they take it out it will come back next month. She could take my entire left ovary out, but there are no guarantee that the right one won’t start to form cysts. I can’t win. Apparently some women are just “cyst formers” Lucky me. So i get to take 4 Advil at a time since I’m allergic to anything remotely related to Vicodin/Demerol/etc. And I get to sit around for a month and wait until they can get it on ultrasound the next time around. I’m going on sleeping like 14 hours a day because I’m exhausted from the pain and it hurts to move around or lift anything so I’m pretty much useless. I can kind of go out and do stuff like grocery shopping but then i need like a 3 hour nap! I’m going to attempt to work my way through my fabric stash and sew some stuff. At least my sewing machine is IN my bedroom
By the way, for all of you Loki lovers, he is totally enjoying this. He likes when anyone sits on the couch or naps because he can snuggle. He does miss going for walks, but he is definitely enjoying the extra napping. Sammy is driving us crazy as usual…….
